Hi! I'm Gina. I'm a NASM-certified Personal Trainer and Women's Fitness specialist, an author, Integrative Health Practitioner, Precision Nutrition coach, the founder of fitnessista.com, and the voice behind the Healthy In Real Life podcast.

I created the Summer Shape Up program 12 years ago shortly after starting my blog. I wanted to create a solid fitness plan to share with my readers, and the first version was a shared Google spreadsheet. I asked if anyone wanted to join for extra accountability, and over 500 women signed up in the first hour! It's changed and evolved since then, but the mission has been the same: to share solid workouts with my fitness friends out there, sprinkle motivation fairy dust on everyone, and set some serious momentum as we head into summer.
